Local charity boosted by IT upgrade
A charity that provides training and guidance services to disadvantaged youngsters across Ipswich has been able to replace their old IT server and install a new state of the art system after receiving £9,000 from the Santander Foundation.
Suffolk Young People's Health Project's old system was constantly crashing and the repairs were diverting vital funds and man-hours away from frontline services. Thanks to the donation the new server is in place and users are once again benefiting from the charity's training courses.
Dawn Henry, Chief Executive at Suffolk Young People's Health Project said: "The Santander Foundation's generosity has allowed us to buy a state-of-the-art computer system which will aid our work with young people from some of the poorest sectors of Ipswich. Our youth workers will now be able to help our users grow in confidence as they work on their CVs, homework and budgeting skills."
Anoushka Brown, Communications Manager at Santander said: "Suffolk Young People's Health Project provide invaluable advice, training and guidance to young people in Suffolk and we are delighted to have been able to help such a worthwhile project upgrade their IT system."
